Spring Canyon Park
Fort Collins, CO
Grab your kite and come out to Spring Canyon Community Park for the 9th Annual Kites in the Park Festival. Presented by City of Fort Collins.
Kites in the Park is a FREE family-friendly community event that celebrates all things kites. We’ll welcome fliers from around the world who will perform ballets, battle kites, and fly giant tiger, fish and bird kites.
Youth are welcome to make their own kite to take home. Also, enjoy the great food, activities, demonstrations, and giveaways that will take place throughout the day.
This year, we’ve expanded attractions throughout the entire park! Free parking will be available off-site and we’ll have free shuttles to bring you to the park. Carpooling and shuttle transport strongly recommended. With nearly 8,000 visitors, the parking fills up fast!
For more information there is the city website which has more details and is official. http://www.fcgov.com/kites

"Love the easy to understand step by step instructions, made from next to nothing materials and above all so much fun to fly... cheers Tim for sharing your well thought out pdf kite designs with the whole world.
Very satisfying making your own and watching them get air-born for the first time."

"I decided to run kite making as an elective again on this camp in the past week - so I bought all your e-books, a bunch of materials, and then took a group of 10 high school students through making the kites over 4 days. We built a diamond, a Barn Door, a Delta, and two skew delta kites. Again - every single kite flew."

"30+
years ago, I tried making a kite using the 'instructions' in a free
kite-safety booklet. What a disappointment for a young boy.
Your
instructions and methods are wonderful. You help the builder to focus on
accuracy, without making it hard. Also, you use materials that are
durable, yet cheap!"
