Our Kite Flying Adventures
Reviews, Flying Log And Records
NOTE: This page and all the links from it will not be updated further. This is because they have been replaced by the kite flying blog as of 8 Oct 2007. Read on if you are interested in historical info! This kite flying page started when all we had was a little baby sled kite we got for our toddler son, Aren. See the picture... Since then, we have moved on to making and flying a series of small flat kites from bamboo BBQ skewers and freezer bag plastic. Don't laugh, they're quite efficient! For
how long
and
how high
can we fly these kites? We have fun trying to set personal records with them. Check out our
kiting adventures log,
which grows from week to week, and sometimes even day to day! In future we'll be reviewing other kites, probably from on-line kite shops. Some day we might get into the more expensive power and traction kiting. Kite buggying will be more our style I think, rather than skimming around in the surf. Heck, you might get wet doing that. :-) And at my age, totally stuffed after 15 minutes in the water...
